Role Highlights

The Laptop & Desktop Hardware Engineer is responsible for diagnosing, repairing, installing, and maintaining laptops and desktops at both component and chip level. The role focuses on identifying motherboard faults, performing advanced hardware repairs, and ensuring high-quality service with minimal turnaround time.

What You'll Do

• Diagnose and troubleshoot laptop and desktop hardware issues at the chip level
• Repair motherboard, power, charging, display, and boot-related faults
• Replace ICs, MOSFETs, capacitors, resistors, connectors, and other SMD components
• Install and configure Windows operating systems, drivers, and business applications
• Perform BIOS flashing, firmware updates, motherboard testing, and preventive maintenance
• Use schematic diagrams, board-view software, and diagnostic tools for fault isolation
• Maintain service reports and ensure quality standards are met

Role Highlights

We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Server & Network Hardware Engineer to join our System Integration team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for assembling, configuring, deploying, and troubleshooting enterprise server infrastructure while supporting networking components as part of customer projects. The role requires hands-on experience with server hardware, operating system installation, diagnostics, and field deployment activities.

Key Responsibilities — Server Assembly & Deployment

• Assemble and integrate enterprise servers from leading OEMs such as HPE, Dell Technologies, Lenovo, Supermicro, and others
• Install and configure server components including processors, memory modules, storage drives, RAID controllers, network adapters, power supplies, and expansion cards
• Perform hardware compatibility checks and quality assurance testing before deployment
• Configure BIOS, firmware, RAID, iLO/iDRAC, and other server management interfaces
• Install and configure operating systems including Microsoft Windows Server and Linux distributions
• Perform burn-in testing, hardware validation, and performance checks

Troubleshooting & Technical Support

• Diagnose and resolve server hardware issues related to CPU, memory, storage, power, cooling, and networking
• Troubleshoot server boot failures, RAID issues, firmware incompatibilities, and operating system errors
• Analyze hardware logs and system alerts to identify root causes
• Coordinate with OEM technical support teams for warranty and RMA processes
• Provide onsite and remote technical support during deployments and post-installation activities

Networking Responsibilities

• Configure and troubleshoot switches, routers, firewalls, and network connectivity
• Perform IP addressing, VLAN configuration, and basic routing tasks
• Diagnose network-related issues impacting server performance and availability
• Support implementation of LAN, WAN, and data center network infrastructure

Documentation & Project Support

• Maintain installation records, asset documentation, and deployment reports
• Prepare server configuration documents and customer handover reports
• Assist project managers and solution architects during infrastructure deployments
• Follow standard operating procedures and quality guidelines

Required Skills

• Strong knowledge of server architecture and enterprise hardware components
• Hands-on experience assembling rack and tower servers
• Knowledge of RAID technologies, storage systems, and server management tools
• Experience with Windows Server and Linux installation and administration
• Understanding of TCP/IP networking fundamentals
• Familiarity with switches, routers, VLANs, and network troubleshooting
• Ability to use diagnostic tools and interpret hardware logs
• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills

Preferred Qualifications

• Diploma / Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Electronics, or related field
• Certifications such as HPE ASE/ATP, Dell EMC, Microsoft, Cisco CCNA, Linux, or equivalent are preferred
• Experience working with system integrators, IT infrastructure providers, or data center environments
